Skin cancer screening · Fair Haven, NJ

A thorough skin exam, without the rush

Total-body skin examinations and dermoscopy with Lauren Riley, NP-c, with time to check everything and answer every question. Many major insurance plans accepted.

What a screening involves

A full-body skin examination reviews your skin head to toe, including areas that are easy to miss. Dermoscopy (magnified, polarized examination of individual spots) helps distinguish harmless moles from lesions that need closer attention. You’ll leave knowing what was seen and what, if anything, comes next.

  1. Examination

Head-to-toe skin check with dermoscopy of any spot that warrants a closer look.

  2. If something is found

Suspicious lesions can be biopsied in-office; skin cancer is diagnosed and treated, with referral to Mohs surgery specialists when specialty excision is required.

  3. Follow-up

A monitoring plan matched to your risk, history, and skin type.

Who should book a screening

Anyone with a new or changing spot should be seen promptly. Regular screenings are especially important if you have a personal or family history of skin cancer, significant sun exposure or tanning-bed history, many moles, or fair skin that burns easily. If you’re unsure, a screening is a reasonable place to start; screening frequency is individualized at your visit.
